The Bambi table defies gravity, its name evoking the precarious stability of the legs of a fawn. The basic idea was to create a desk starting from a single plate, bent in different directions.
Its stability is ensured by the opposed angles of the two legs, intersecting at 90 degrees.
The design gives the desk a sense of fragileness at first glance, while it is actually a strong and well-balanced furniture object.
The Bambi desk perfectly reflects Nendo’s Japanese design approach characterized by the combination of highly sophisticated details but with the childlike surprise of simplicity.
